VIVIAN GALE Addiction Counselor – Therapist

Vivian Gale, AS. BA, is Counselor and Addiction Music Therapist, with 17 years clean and sober and over 12 years of experience working within Drug and Alcohol Addiction Treatment Modalities, providing Addiction and Mental Health Treatment, utilizing Individual and Group Therapy. She has spent 7 of those years working with Adults and Adolescents with alcohol and drug addiction problems, and their Adults Families. She has provided Family Therapy for 100’s families in the past decade and also taught Parenting Classes for reunification with children and families in the Family Court and Child Protective Custody Systems.

As an Author, she has contributed as a writer to newsletters, a book called “Ferris Wheel” and numerous Internet Blog forums. Author Vivian Gale, AS. Addiction Music Therapy

Africa 2004

I spent 28 days in Nigeria. It was a life changing experience. I want to go back there is so much we need to do to help 3rd world countries. A family of 5 lives in this tiny hut. They sleep on braided mats on the floor. They have no furniture or running water. I want to help the people in Africa. So, when you order my books, please know you'll be helping them too! I have been helping one family since 2004.

As a dedicated counselor, Vivian utilized her self-composed music in her work with addicts and alcoholics and addicts in Treatment Facilities and on her own as a contracted employee. She’s noticed in her work that most people that come to treatment as adult are abused children, rape victims, incest survivors, abandoned, lived in foster and group home systems, or come from families with alcohol and drug addiction histories. Addiction is an effect of child abuse. Trying to find ways to cope and or dull the emotional pain and trauma, many victims have turned to drugs and alcohol. Vivian has also worked with Dual Diagnose clients. These are people who suffer from mental health and addiction problems. They tend to use drugs and ditch their medication for their mental health problems in their attempt to cope, making recovery more difficult.

Personal Freedom
Vivian Gale is a survivor! Incest and abandonment wrote her drug addiction story and as a result, Vivian spent her teen years in group and foster care homes, overcoming many obstacles such as child abuse, incest, rape abandonment as well as emotional and physical abuse. She doesn’t stop trying to make her dreams to become a successful Author and Inspirational Speaker come true. Today, she spends much of her time showing others how to do the same.
